About this position
ACI Mechanical is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice to learn, be trained, and take on plumbing responsibilities in the field.
Duties:
- Display knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and codes
- Ability to read plans and specifications and ensure compliance with water, waste, and vent systems with contract documents
- Measure plumbing layouts and installations in the field
- Aid in scheduling and organizing materials needed in the field in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1-4 years experience in the plumbing field
- High school diploma
- OSHA 10, 30 are not required upon application, but may be required after hire
- Driving record meets company requirements
- Successful passing of pre-employment drug screening required

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, loud noises, and more within OSHA standards when visited the jobsite. Employees may be exposed to outdoor conditions that include inclement weather such as heat, humidity, cold, wind, and dust. May be expected to carry up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long periods of time, walk for moderate-to-long distances on varying surface conditions, climb, crawl, crouch, reach, grip, push, and pull without issue.

About this position
Pre-apprentice or apprentice skill level plumber needed to assist Journeyman Plumber on commercial construction projects in Central Iowa.
Schedule:
- Full time, Monday through Friday
- 8 hour shifts
- Various jobsite locations within 60 mile radius of Office
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds, work from ladders and lifts, and confined spaces
- Dexterity for hand and power tools
- Work in various weather conditions
- Dependable and self-motivated

About this position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various construction sites and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in commercial and residential buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise plumbing layouts.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete installations efficiently.
- Conduct inspections on plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with construction teams, electricians, HVAC technicians, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project records.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Plumber license or certification demonstrating completion of apprenticeship program.
- Proven experience in construction plumbing with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, HVAC systems, and general construction practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with remodeling or maintenance projects is a plus.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, working at heights or confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for commercial driving duties; familiarity with construction site safety protocols is preferred.
