Role Definition

- Mechanical aptitude to be able to disconnect, rebuild, or relocate piping, spouting, and chute work, and install pneumatic and gravity-fed material handling.
- Operate hand tools daily such as wrenches, hammers, power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, plus various types of pneumatic and hydraulic tools), rigging equipment to assemble, install and align to ensure the proper functioning.
- Maintain, install, repair, improve and troubleshoot all systems, equipment, and machinery for optimal safe working order according to blueprints, schematic drawings, and/or manufacture guidelines.
- Operate simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, boom lifts, gantry cranes, pneumatic wrenches, and all-terrain reach lifts.

- Troubleshoot problems to detect defects or malfunctions of equipment, research, and share the proper solution.
- Plan preventative maintenance programs while identifying the best methods for machinery and equipment to foster continuous improvement through ongoing safety and educational trainings.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance and/or 3 years education in industrial maintenance technologies/trade specific training.
- Welding and rigging certifications, preferred.
- Preventative maintenance, fabrication, and sheet metal experience, a plus.
- Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job, in a 10 day on and 4 day off work schedule.
- Per diem for heavy travel, relocation not required but optional.
- OSHA 10 HR, preferred.

Location and Travel
This is a permanent/full-time position with Interstates and requires traveling around the Sioux Center, IA region (typically within 200 miles of the office). Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Work Schedule:
Start times, break times and work hours vary per site and stage of our projects. Our employees work more than 40 hours per week but no more than 60, as part of our commitment to safety.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, this role is often exposed to high/precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and all outside weather conditions. This role is expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Due to the nature of our work and our client base, this role may involve tasks in an environment exposed to dust. Location and Travel for Apprentice Electricians: This position will require travel typically within 200 miles of the Ft. Dodge, IA office. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Per Diem and mileage stipends applicable per company policy.
Work Schedule:
Start times, break times and work hours vary per site and stage of our projects. Our employees work more than 40 hours per week but no more than 60, as part of our commitment to safety.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, this role is often exposed to high/precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and all outside weather conditions. This role is expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Due to the nature of our work and our client base, this role may involve tasks in an environment exposed to dust. Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions and complying with safety standards to protect their well-being.
