Description: Our Prefabrication Assemblers produce electrical assemblies, frames, and products in a controlled shop environment before being sent to job sites. They follow detailed instructions and safety protocols to cut, bend, and assemble parts using tools and machinery. Their work helps streamline construction projects by ensuring materials are ready for efficient installation in the field.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:45am to 3:15pm
Primary responsibilities include:
- Following all safety rules and regulations and maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment
- Using established production processes to accurately carry out assignments from the Prefab Lead or Manager
- Performing general electrical prefab tasks such as cutting, threading, bending and assembling electrical components and subcomponents
- Following detailed parts lists, assembly instructions and notes on production drawings
- Moving material with forklift and pallet jack (certification required)
- Identifying and using correct material and tooling
- Tracking production and communicating electronically with basic Microsoft Office usage
Requirements:
- Proven reliability and effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
- Good time management and organization
- Ability to read and understand job orders and construction drawings
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to meet physical demands, including but not limited to:
The ability to work 40 or more hours per week; frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.; continuous standing, walking, bending, and/or twisting; repetitive use of hands for frequent grasping, pushing and pulling and fine motor coordination; periodic squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead and climbing; repetitive use of feet for operating equipment, conduit benders and vertical climbing; and adequate vision for document reading and color coding to identify wire.
Experience with impact drills and MIG welding is a plus.
